This work was commissioned by James and Inez Willoughby. This setting of the Androzzo hymn incorporates jazz elements. It was premiered by the Foundry United Methodist Church Choir in Washington, D.C.

Razz-A-Ma-Tazz (1971, 2006) SATB with piano MED
This fun-filled six-minute medley includes “Razz-A-Ma-Tazz,” “Alexander's Ragtime Band,” “Ballin' The Jack,” “Up A Lazy River,” and “Varsity Drag.” I have included chord changes in case you want to use a rhythm section. I received the following comments about the arrangement from the Johnny Mann Singers: “...both personally and on behalf of Johnny Mann, I wanted you to know how much we all enjoyed your work. It’s creative, amusing, and as imaginative as anything we’ve heard lately” (signed Rod Warren for Johnny Mann). This medley should be accessible to many school and community choirs.

Included are, “You’re Just In Love,” Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better,” “Make Believe,” “Ah Yes, I Remember It Well,” “Let’s Call The Whole Thing Off,” “Seventy-Six Trombones,” “Goodnight, My Someone, goodnight,” “There Once Was A Man,” and a hint of two other songs. This is a real crowd pleaser for older audiences.
